  Where to begin? My mother-in-law saw Dr. Kumar a few times and we were incredibly disappointed. In her most recent visit we asked that he go through her medications with her to see if she could stop taking any of them, as well as whether any of them were counteractive as she was at 14 prescriptions. He didn't even look at her prescription list before saying she needed to take all of them, and said that that wasn't that many. My husband knew one of the medicines was for a previous surgery and asked the doctor what it was prescribed for. In a condescending tone, he said it was for her migraines, which wasn't true. He does not prepare for his appointments, he is condescending, and he doesn't care about his patients. On another visit my MIL was in excruciating pain, so much pain she couldn't even think straight. He asked her questions he should have known the answers to or that he could have gotten the answers from her file, before finally sending her to the ER. He offers no plan of action, and isn't even able to offer any help with referrals to specialists. He could not even help my MIL when she had a horrible upper respiratory infection. He would not prescribe an antibiotic, did not suggest a neti pot, did not offer a breathing treatment. We only got the help we needed after taking her to an Urgent Care and switching PCPs. Come to find out, some of the combinations of her prescriptions were dangerous and she only needed to be on about half of them. We gave this doctor more than enough tries and recommend you see another doctor, as even other doctor offices are aware of this doctor's bad reputation.
